Have you ever wanted some really good chicken wings, but haven't ever had much luck making them at home? Well, today's you're lucky day. I freaking love our air fryer. It makes the best fried chicken without all of the oil and grease. Plus - they bake in literally no time.
My husband loves chicken wings, I mean loves them BUT he hates soggy skin - yuck! So, this air fryer has been the perfect solution for him. You can pair these with literally any side dish for a quick weeknight dinner or for a fun weekend party! They are so versatile, you won't have to think twice because well.. who wants to think twice? Here's what you're going to need:
Ingredients:
2 - 3 pounds chicken wings (this depends on how many you are cooking for)
Olive oil
Salt, pepper, and you're favorite wing seasoning (I use Smokey Chile Lime from www.oakridgebbq.com - literally the best)
2 Tbsp melted butter
Wing sauce - your favorite one of course
Parley for dusting afterwards - if you're feeling fancy
Here's what you'll do:
Directions:
Lay out a piece of foil and place all of your chicken wings on it
Coat each chicken wing in olive oil
Sprinkle or brush seasoning onto wings
Flip over & repeat
Let them sweat out on the counter for about 30-45 minutes (not required, however this influences the best possible taste)
Spray the inside of your air fryer basket with nonstick spray
Lay each wing down, letting each one have its own space to cook
Air fry your wings for about 12 minutes at 360 degree, then flip and repeat (the internal temp should reach 165 degrees)
Pull wings out and put on a plate to rest
Melt 2 Tbsp butter with the sauce of your choice in the microwave for about 30 seconds
Stir and brush or drizzle over your wings - toss to coat
ENJOY!
Is your mouth watering yet? Mine is.. Well, get cooking!
